To Speak or Not To Speak?

In my previous post, I mentioned being challenged by a book I am currently reading…well…it wasn’t only once! 🙂

I’m a choleric. Cholerics, well, we say what we think and we’re pretty quick to do it too!

You know, it usually makes me feel better to “let rip” with my thoughts about a situation if I’m hurt or upset or angry, etc. So why should I bottle it all up and keep it to myself when that doesn’t make me feel better?!

Hmmm…

Unfortunately (kind of), the author–whose name happens to be Bob Barnes, btw–gave me a really good reason…James 1:19…

Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.

Do you know how many times I’ve read that verse…yet never really applied it in this context?! What a challenge! 🙂
