Interstate Jaunt – Part Four: Moss Vale Surrounds

Hopefully, this will be the wrap up of my interstate jaunt!! It’s taken me ages but I really want to finish…

One of the things we laughed about in all the sightseeing we did was Rocky’s position whenever we saw the waterfalls in their area. Not-so-funnily, she is afraid of heights. It was amusing, though, that whenever we would take a picture from a lookout over the falls, we could also turn around and face the opposite direction and take a picture of Rocky. 🙂

Good law-abiding citizens…

…or not! 😉

More scenery at Fitzroy Falls–so beautiful!!

Does your kid REALLY need to go to the toilet??
(For Americans, these were environmentally-friendly ‘long drops’… )

Some more scenery…
…and Rocky!

Carrington Falls…

…and Rocky! 🙂

Mum and I at Carrington Falls

At the top of the Falls.
We walked around till we were standing right behind that massive drop!
This was looking right. Looking left led to the drop.
Rocky said they would swim here when she was younger.
There’s no picture of her behind us here because she was with us. 🙂

So I think that will do for an overview of my trip in pictures. It was a great time and I can’t wait to get to visit them again!

Oh, how’s this for some interesting facts around the area. Nicole Kidman had just bought a property nearby, though at the time the exact location hadn’t become public. We drove past the farm that Babe was filmed on (and Bejae said that the back of Rocky’s head is in the movie because the locals got to be extras on set, lol). We saw where Don Burke of Burke’s Backyard lives. Hmmm, was there anything else? There’s certainly lots of stories to be told about the money flowing in the area! The richies from Sydney are taking over these days and the face of the area is apparently very different from what it used to be. There’s still some normal people left, though, and those are the ones I was interested in meeting. 🙂
